PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator for a buried pile, and a construction method for the buried pile requiring no consumable such as a shear pin, eliminating complicatedness such as an adjustment of locking force, and capable of changing an excavation diameter in construction. SOLUTION: Excavation and agitation-mixing of excavation sediment and a curing-filler such as cement milk are performed in a state of projecting from the lower end of a hollow pipe 2 by inserting an excavation rod 2 into the hollow pipe 1. A cylindrical expansion-contraction control member 6 is coaxially arranged in an outer peripheral part of the excavation rod 2, and these members are mutually threadedly engaged by a screw part. A rotation restricting member 7 is projected toward an inner surface of the hollow pipe 1 from an outside surface of the expansion-contraction control member 6, and the excavation rod 2 is rotated in a state of locking this rotation restricting member 7 on a receiving part 8 of the hollow pipe 1, so that the expansion-contraction member 6 moves upward or downward. The expansion-contraction control member and an excavation blade 3 are connected by a link 10, and the excavation blade 3 is expanded and contracted by the upward or downward movement of the expansion-contraction control member 6.
