PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device in which a correction amount at the time of correcting the specific color of a video signal can be changed corresponding to the photographing states and the video to be photographed. SOLUTION: The image pickup device is provided with a specific color extracting means for extracting the video signal of the specific color from among the video signals on the basis of photographing mode information; a color difference detecting means for detecting color difference data of the specific color from among the video signal of the specific color extracted with the specific color extracting means; a correction reference data storage means in which correction reference data as a reference for correcting the specific color to a prescribed color are stored; a color correction value calculating means which selects the correction reference data of the corresponding specific color from in the correction reference data storage means on the basis of the photographing mode information selected with a photographing mode selecting means, and which calculates the color correction value for correcting the corresponding specific color to the prescribed color on the basis of the selected correction reference data and the color difference data of the specific color detected with the color difference detecting means; and a color correction processing means for correcting the specific color of the video signal to the prescribed color on the basis of the color correction value calculated with the color correction value calculating means. As a result, it is possible to correct the specific color of the photographed video signal to a desirable color (for example, a storage color) by the correction amount corresponding to the photographing states and the photographed video.
