PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential amplifier by which the permission range of an input voltage is enlarged, and power consumption is saved. SOLUTION: The differential amplifier (10) includes: a first transistor pair (1) for receiving a first input voltage (V<SB>IN+</SB>) and a second input voltage (V<SB>IN-</SB>); a second transistor pair (2) for receiving the first input voltage (V<SB>IN+</SB>) and the second input voltage (V<SB>IN-</SB>), and also for being complementary with respect to the first transistor pair (1); a bias circuit (3) for selecting one selected transistor pair from the first and second transistor pairs (1) and (2), and activating the selected one transistor pair; and an output circuit (4) for outputting an output signal (OUT) in response to the output of the first transistor pair (1) and the output of the second transistor pair (2).
