PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluidized bed type heat treatment furnace capable of suppressing flowing-out of a powder and granular material forming a fluidized bed, stabilizing temperature in the furnace, and performing safe and high quality heat treatment. SOLUTION: This fluidized bed type heat treatment furnace 3 is constituted in such a way that the inside of a furnace body 39 is filled with the powder and granular material, which is heated by heated air blown out from a heated air pipe 14 and flows to form the fluidized bed 13, and a metal-made workpiece 11 is heat-treated on the fluidized bed 13. This fluidized bed type heat treatment furnace 3 has the furnace body 39 having a sealed structure and is provided with a forced air exhaust means sucking and exhausting exhaust air from the inside of the furnace body 39, a pressure measuring means for measuring pressure inside the furnace body 39, and a pressure control means for adjusting pressure inside th furnace body 39.
