AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE RESIN DISPERSION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method for an aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion which efficiently prepares the dispersion which is finer than conventional ones using a batch-wise emulsifier enabling easy scale-up while ensuring sufficient emulsification. SOLUTION: In the preparation method for the aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion, a mixture containing water and a polyurethane resin solution is stirred in a stirring tank to emulsify and disperse a polyurethane resin in water. Here, stirring is performed while adding water to the polyurethane resin solution. The stirring tank has a stirring blade whose diameter corresponds to 35-95% of the inner diameter of the stirring tank and whose height corresponds to≥40% of the depth of the mixture in the stirring tank.
