PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift carrier operating device allowing easy positioning operation of a lifted cargo and easy and accurate transfer of the lifted cargo even when obstacles exist between a lifted cargo transfer position and itself or the lifted cargo is transferred to a high place. SOLUTION: The lift carrier operating device comprises a travel device for travelling along a travel rail, a lift carrier 29 suspended from the travel device via a wire rope 22 or the like in an up-and-down movable manner, and an operating means for operating the travel device and the lift carrier 29. The operating means has a guide frame 14 rockingly anchored at its upper end to the travel device and having a guide member 15 fitted thereon for guiding the lift carrier in an up-and-down movable manner and an operation switch 31 provided at the lower part of the guide frame 14.
