PROTECTOR AND STEEL PIPE PROVIDED WITH PROTECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector which is small, lightweight, excellent in shock absorbing capacity and is capable of reducing a treatment load after use and to provide a steel pipe capable of preventing screws at steel pipe ends from being damaged and rusted in transportation of the pipe provided with the protector. SOLUTION: The protector 20 for protecting a male screw 12 at ends of steel pipe 10 is formed by a resin-made cylinder, a female screw28 which screws into the male screw 12 is formed on an internal peripheral surface 24 on one end 22a side of the cylinder, and a shock absorbing section 38 is formed on the other end 22b side of the cylinder. The end 22b is slanted and recessed from the external peripheral side to the internal peripheral side and the list is determined to be within a range of 1 to 30°. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
