PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a failure to wipe out an ink or dust on an ink discharge face from occurring, prevent damage to the ink discharge face and protect nozzles against blocking. SOLUTION: A wiping blade 10 for an inkjet recording head is overall covered with a covering material whose slide resistance is smaller than that of an elastic body, slides well due to a low slide resistance even when it wipes the ink discharge face 42, and does not easily damage the ink discharge face 42. The wiping blade 10 is wear resistant, does not fall off during the removal of hard foreign matter. The blade prevents also an oil and fat content of an elastic body from soaking. Consequently, a failure to completely wipe an ink or dust of the ink discharge face 42, damage to the ink discharge face 42 and blocking of the nozzles 44 can be prevented. As a result, the blade prevents ink droplets from failing to fly straight and consequently arriving at wrong positions of a recording paper or failing to discharge. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
