The reading lamp (10) includes a plug (24) which electrically contacts an illuminant. A pull-off assisting component (30) is used to pull the plug off the housing (12) in a pull-off direction. The pull-off assisting component is pivotable about an axis (28) between a parking position and a pull-off position. The plug is pulled off the housing when the assisting component is in the pull off position.
