A simple cost effective tool for preparing hard surface tennis courts is made of bent aluminium sheet with a scraping edge at about 45 deg. to an attached handle. The scraping edge is serrated, to pull out grass and weeds leaving a clean surface. Suitable material includes 2 mm thick aluminium sheet with surface embossing. One bend is set at 57 deg. and the scraping edge at a further 90 deg. to form a scoop to collect loosened weeds and debris. The serration comprises triangular teeth with 45 deg. slopes each side. The handle is secured to the back of the scraper by straps.
