MODIFIED POLYALLYLAMINE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

<p>A polyallylamine polymer which is readily soluble in water and in organic solvents and gives an aqueous solution or organic-solvent solution thereof which has satisfactory stability and is suitable for use in the field of fine chemicals, e.g., the ink-jet recording field. The polymer is a modified polyallylamine obtained by modifying a copolymer of an N,N-dialkylallylamine and allylamine with various modifiers.</p>
