METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENT OF HAND OR FOOT

When a hand or a foot is placed on a reference platform of a transparent plate, the palm or sole is imaged to create a two-dimensional image and the instep of the hand or foot is imaged to crate a three-dimensional image. After these images are processed, the image of the instep is used for three-dimensional measurement and the image of the palm or sole is used for estimating the dimensions of every part of the hand or foot, thereby creating a composed image. Using the composed image, the solid dimensions are estimated and the results are stored as solid dimensional data in a database. Thus a method and device for simple and accurate measurement of a hand or foot is provided. Moreover, the method and device is characterized in that a measurement program to which an interactive program is added to add personal data when the hand or foot data is acquired.
