HEADREST FOR VEHICLE, WITH STAY ROD, CONNECTING LINK, MOVING UNIT, AND TURNING UNIT

PURPOSE: A headrest for a vehicle is provided to simplify the structure of the headrest, to cut down manufacturing cost, and to improve working efficiency by installing the structure for linear movement on the center of the horizontal bar of the stay rod. CONSTITUTION: A headrest of a vehicle comprises a stay rod(114) installed in a seat and composed of a couple of vertical bars(110) spaced from each other and a horizontal bar(112) connecting the upper parts of the vertical bars; a fixing gear unit(116) installed to the horizontal bar of the stay rod; a connecting link(118) hinge-combined with the fixing gear unit; a turning gear unit(120) axially rotated and combined with the connecting link and engaged with the fixing gear unit; a spring(121) mounted between the connecting link and the turning gear unit to engage and disengage gear teeth(116a,120a) of the turning gear unit from the fixing gear unit by elastically rotating the turning gear unit; a moving unit(124) connected to the end of the connecting link and composed of a moving bar(122) arranged in parallel with the horizontal bar; a turning unit(128) hinge-connected to the fixing gear unit and contacted to the outer periphery of the moving bar by surrounding; and a return spring(130) supported between the connecting link and the fixing gear unit to return the moving unit linearly moved.
