PURPOSE: A kimchi refrigerator containing a phase-change material at the peripheral part of an evaporator to prevent quick temperature difference in the vicinity of the inner case of the refrigerator is provided. It reduces operating time of a compressor and maintains the temperature of a storage chamber in an optimum state, thereby reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The kimchi refrigerator is characterized in that it contains a phase-change material(50) at the peripheral part of an evaporation pipe(20). The phase-change material is coated on the inner face of mold release material(30) for covering the external surface of an inner case(16) with which the evaporation pipe is covered. The kimchi refrigerator comprises a body containing at least one storage chamber, a door for opening and closing the storage chamber and the evaporation pipe.
