PURPOSE: An air circuit breaker is provided to permit R, S, T, and N poles to have the same circuit breaking performance by allowing R, S, T, and S poles to have the same insulation distance, while preventing losses of peripheral device. CONSTITUTION: An air circuit breaker comprises a main shaft(11) for receiving driving forces for circuit opening/closing operation; first and second main shaft levers(12,13) which rotates centering from the main shaft; and first and second insulation arms(14,15) for contacting and separating first and second movable terminals(16,17) to and from first and second fixed terminals(18,19) by the main shaft lever. The contact interval between the movable terminal and the fixed terminal on R, S, and T phases is the same as the contact interval between the movable terminal and the fixed terminal on an N phase. The expression R1<R2 is satisfied, wherein R1 is the distance measured from the center point of the main shaft of the first main shaft lever to the center point of a first connection shaft(12a) for connecting the first main shaft lever and the first insulation arm, and R2 is the distance measured from the center point of the main shaft of the second main shaft lever to the center point of a second connection shaft(13a) for connecting the second main shaft lever and the second insulation arm.
