PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer and an optical multiplexing/demultiplexing method that can multiplex/demultiplex a plurality of wavelength lights extremely easily and stably. SOLUTION: A substrate 11 is provided with an optical waveguide group 12 consisting of a plurality of optical waveguides 121 to 135, and also provided with a wavelength filter 13 at at least one end part. A couple of adjacent optical waveguides in the optical waveguide group 12 are coupled with each other on a main surface 13A of the wavelength filter 13. On the main surface 13A of the wavelength filter 13, incidence coupling angles and projection coupling angles of the optical waveguides are made mutually different at respective coupling points 141 to 148 where couples of adjacent optical waveguides are coupled.
