ELECTROLYTIC CELL AND OXYHYDROGEN GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic cell capable of maintaining high sealability, improving pressure resistant strength and reducing the deterioration of solid electrolyte membranes. SOLUTION: The electrolytic cell 1 has the solid electrolyte membranes 2, electrodes 3 disposed on both sides of the solid electrolyte membranes 2 and feed conductors 4 interposed between the solid electrolyte membranes 2 and the electrodes 3. Grooves 3c and 3d for disposing sealing members 5 and 6 are formed near the peripheral edges of the electrodes 3. The first sealing members 61 and the second sealing members 50 are so disposed as to come into contact with the respective surfaces of the solid electrolyte membranes 2 by covering the circumferences of the feed conductors 4 in the state of fitting into the grooves 3c and 3d. The third sealing members 62 which exist on the first sealing member 61 side and hold the solid electrolyte membranes 2 between themselves and the second sealing members 50 are disposed.
