PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having satisfactory durability and exhibiting excellent fixability (fixing strength) in a wide temperature range, and to provide a method for manufacturing a toner by which the above toner can be manufactured. SOLUTION: The toner consists of materials including a block polyester mainly made up of a block copolymer, an amorphous polyester having lower crystallinity than the block polyester, and a colorant. The block polyester has crystalline blocks prepared by condensing alcohol and carboxylic acid components, and amorphous blocks having lower crystallinity than the crystalline blocks. The toner has a first region mainly made up of the block polyester and a second region mainly made up of the amorphous polyester in toner particles, wherein a concentration of the colorant in the first region is higher than that in the second region.
