PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of enhancing the convenience of editing an image. SOLUTION: A GPS module 64 of an object position detecting unit 50 receives position coordinate data from a GPS satellite via a GPS antenna 51. A wireless communication I/F 65 transmits position coordinates of an object to the digital camera 2. After photographing an object, a CPU 30 calculates a photographing azimuth and a distance from a photographing place to the object on the basis of the position coordinates of the photographing place and the position coordinates of the object, attaches the position coordinates of the photographing place, the position coordinates of the object, and the distance from the photographing place to the object to tag information 73 of an image file 72 together with a photographed image 70, and a thumbnail image 71 and records the resulting file 72 to a memory card 20.
