PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroconductive coating agent effective for protecting an electronic device and an element from electrostatic discharge and electromagnetic interference, and also effective for preventing interference associated with electrostatic charge of various kinds of articles. SOLUTION: The electroconductive coating material contains, in a solvent, an electroconductive polymer formed into a state exhibiting electroconductivity by a dopant, and a dispersion stabilizer capable of keeping the dispersion of the electroconductive polymer for a long period. A preferable electroconductive polymer is a polyaniline or a derivative thereof, and a preferable dopant is an acid having a long-chain alkyl group, especially an alkylbenzenesulfonic acid having an 8-30C alkyl group. A preferable dispersion stabilizer is an aliphatic or alicyclic liquid organic compound having a polar part and a nonpolar part in the molecule such as cyclohexanone, and an aromatic compound having an amino group or an alkyl group such as aniline, p-phenylenediamine, toluene and xylene can also be used as the dispersion stabilizer.
