PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which is excellent in uniform expandability, has a moderate tensile strength, flexibility, transparency, etc. and causes no delamination, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet using the same. SOLUTION: The base material for the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is obtained by forming a film from a resin composition containing 10-60 wt.% hydrogenated block copolymer and 40-90 wt.% low-density linear polyethylene resin, wherein the hydrogenated block copolymer comprises at least one polymer block (A) essentially comprising a vinyl aromatic compound and at least one polymer block (B) essentially comprising a hydrogenated conjugated diene compound.
