Service life determining method for a machine's gearing defines estimated service life of gearing in an extruder machine with a motor, a gearing mechanism and equipment for extrusion

On-load data (2) is recorded for an extrusion machine (1). A mathematical model determines the influence of this data on the service life of the machine's gearing (5) so as to define its estimated service life. The motor's revolutions per minute/torque are detected. Sensors use vibration analysis to detect differences in toothed gearing and bearings.
