PURPOSE: A high-precision linear vibration motor for driving a linear vibration motor including a mover and a spring member is provided to improve an accuracy of a mover to reduce the distance between the mover and a motor housing. CONSTITUTION: A motor driving apparatus drives a linear vibration motor(100) having a mover and a spring member supporting the mover. The motor driving apparatus includes a mover force vibrator(3a), a vibration parameter obtainer, a spring constant decision portion(6a), and a mover position calculator(2a). The mover force vibrator shakes the mover. The vibration parameter obtainer obtains a natural vibration parameter representing a natural vibration of the mover based on the free vibration state of the mover. The spring constant decision portion decides a spring constant of the spring member using the obtained natural vibration parameter. The mover position calculator calculates the position of the mover using the spring constant decided by the spring constant decision unit.
