PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for driving an electro-luminescence display panel by using a selective scan are provided to drive the scan electrode lines selectively set at the selected display mode and drive the all data electrode lines by a unit frame. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving an electro-luminescence display panel by using a selective scan includes the steps of: an entire driving step of driving all scan electrode lines and all data electrode lines by a unit frame when the first display mode is set by the user; and a selective driving step of selectively driving the selectively set scan electrode lines and all data electrode lines by a unit frame when the second display mode is set by the user.
