MUSICAL DATA TRANSFERRING AND RECORDING METHOD AND MUSICAL SOUND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace a music on a music reproducing apparatus with another music according to user's preference and desire without making the user aware of that.

SOLUTION: A CPU 31 of the musical sound reproducing apparatus 30 or a CPU 11 of a server 10 detects or receives the free space of a flash memory 34 and a reproduction history (a substantial reproduction frequency Kp when wherein the music is continuously reproduced for longer than a specified time is defined as substantial reproduction or a skip frequency Ks when wherein the music is reproduced for only a time shorter than the specified time is defined as a skip) of each piece of music recorded in the flash memory 34. Then it is judged whether or not there is music to be erased from the flash memory 34 as a substitute for music to be downloaded from the server 10 the music reproducing apparatus and when so, music whose evaluation function K (e.g., K=2Kp-Ks) is small (more minus) is selected as music to be erased.
