<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel cell having a function of removing an aqueous solution generated on an electrode without consuming the power, increasing the volume, and decreasing the energy density of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The solid polymer fuel cell is constituted to have the function of removing the aqueous solution by arranging a hydrophilic part having high hydrophilic properties, a reaction catalyst layer forming an electrode, and an absorbing material for the aqueous solution arranged in the outer circumference of the hydrophilic part, and stayed substances on the electrode which obstructs stable operation of the fuel cell are removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
