<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power convertor which is small and excellent in cooling characteristics, even if a motor requires much electric power. <P>SOLUTION: Cooling devices 11-16 are radially and three-dimentionally arranged with a drive shaft 4 as the center, with cooling surfaces 50 of the cooling devices 11-16 as well as coolant paths 46 parallel to the drive shaft 4. One side surfaces 47 of the cooing devices 11-16 are connected to a cylindrical structure member 101 enclosing the drive shaft 4 while one end parts 48 of the cooling devices 11-16 to a structure member 102 at the end face of a motor 2, and the other end parts 48 to conduits 111-113 connecting to the coolant paths 46 of the adjoining cooling device. Power semiconductor modules 71A-71D, 72A-72D, and 73A-73D are so attached as to sandwich both cooling surfaces 50 of the cooling devices 11-16, so that the input/output terminals on the side surface of the power semiconductor module (a positive electrode power supply terminal 70p, a negative electrode power supply terminal 70n, and an AC output terminal 70a) are arranged in the outer peripheral direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
