PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for joining display of map data or aerial photograph data that can display the map data etc. in an easy method without any break. SOLUTION: A joined figure 18 generated by joining map data 14 etc. as a plurality of pieces of map data or aerial photograph data without any break so that the map data 14 etc. each arranged at least on one end side overlap is stored , an area of a map to be displayed at a display part so that a current position is in the center is computed, and image data of the area are displayed at the display part. When the current position reaches a limit point 28 as a limit of approach to an end of the joined figure 18 while the current position is moved to scroll the map image of the joined figure 18 displayed at the display part, the current position is jumped to a corresponding limit point 28 on another joined figure 18 including the limit point 28 of the same point to continuously display the map image.
