PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod simple in structure, improved in durability, and realizing a favorable-touch grip over a long period. SOLUTION: The fishing rod has the following structure: The rear end of a main rod pipe 10 is attached with a flexible grip 11 provided with a notch 111 on the rear end side of the main rod pipe 10 on the inner surface lying against the outer circumference of the main rod pipe 10, and a reinforcing part 131 provided at a butt stopper 13 is interposed in between the notch 111 and the outer circumference of the main rod pipe 10.
