Since a conventional progressive refractive power lens is so designed as to continuously join a distance part to a reading part, it has been impossible to set the lens in a frame so as to maximize the optical performance of a reading part. The inventive progressive refractive power lens is designed so that a reading part region is allowed to be close to an eyeball without sacrificing the optical characteristics of the progressive refractive power lens, whereby the lens can be set in a frame with both the distance part and the reading part in ideal fitting states to thereby be able to produce glasses with minimum shaking and distortion.
