<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase-change optical recording medium, of which the initial crystallization having the uniform reflection factor distribution in a manufacturing process is possible, which has proper repetition recording properties also in high linear speed and high density recording in the initial crystallization, and then of which the storage reliability of amorphous mark recordings can be fully satisfied. <P>SOLUTION: This method is for manufacturing an optical recording medium which has at least a Ge-Sb-Te, containing recording layer and a reflective layer, in this order on a transparent substrate 1. The method comprises the steps of forming a laminated structure on the transparent substrate, which has a Sb-Te containing layer 4 and the reflective layer 8 in this order, and which has a Ge containing layer 3 thereon and/or thereunder, in contact with the Sb-Te containing layer 4, and then of integrating the Ge containing layer 3 with the Sb-Te containing layer 4 subjected to heat treatment, and forming the Ge-Sb-Te containing recording layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
