PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV broadcast receiving system which, when a digital TV broadcast and an analog TV broadcast are broadcasting a same program on a same time period, automatically receives a higher visual quality broadcast by priority out of those two broadcasts. SOLUTION: The TV broadcast receiving system is provided with a first switching means to switch the analog TV broadcast signal to the digital TV broadcast signal when, while receiving the analog TV broadcast, it extracts a difference between a digitally converted signal from the analog TV broadcast and a digital TV broadcast signal of a same main channel to compare them and determines that same program is broadcasted and a second switching means to switch to the analog TV broadcast signal when, while receiving the digital TV broadcast, it extracts the difference of the digitally converted signal from the analog TV broadcast signal to compare and determines that a signal level of the receiving digital TV broadcast is a predetermined level or lower.
