PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image correction method, apparatus, and program capable of easily performing the correction of approaching a color approximated to a target color in an image to the target color. SOLUTION: In the image correction method, a spherical area within a radius EO is selected from the target color on an L*a*b* color space for a correction range as shown (A), the coordinate position of a pixel of a color located within the correction range on the L*a*b* color space is moved in the direction of approaching the coordinate position of the target color, a conversion condition for converting image data is decided so that a movement amount becomes a maximum when a distance E from the target color is E1 shorter than the radius EO and zero when the distance E is 0 and the distance E is EO such that the moving amount in a direction, the coordinate position approaching the coordinate position of the target color in accordance with the distance E is changed, and image data of the correction object are converted according to the decided conversion condition to apply a color correction to the image data of the correction object.
