PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a shell type roller bearing without trouble by enabling reassembly of a sealing member for use in a shell type roller bearing corresponding to pressure condition of environments in use. SOLUTION: A sealing unit is provided with an elastically deformable sealing member 5 which is arranged on the inside of outer jaw portions 2c and 2d of the shell type roller bearing 1. The sealing member 5 has a circular trunk portion 51 at an outer diameter side, and an inner diameter portion 53 connected to an inner diameter side of the trunk portion 51 so as to have a recessed groove 54 opened to an one side of an axial direction between the trunk portion 51 and the inner diameter portion 53. A circular recessed portion 5b avoiding interference with an inner surface of a curved portion of an outer ring 2 is formed on an outer periphery of a connecting portion 55 between the trunk portion 51 and the inner diameter portion 53, and a lip 52 having a designated curved shape to either side of an axial direction is formed on an inner periphery of the inner diameter portion 53. Guide surfaces 5c and 5d against an inner ring members S are formed on a tip side and a base end side of the inner diameter portion 53 at an inner periphery, respectively.
