PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus by which information on an imaging device can be acquired even after being packaged in equipment. SOLUTION: Within a package 11, a wireless tag 13 is provided together with a CCD chip 12, and the wireless tag 13 has a build-in memory 13a wherein information on the CCD chip 12 is stored, and a build-in antenna 13b for wirelessly transmitting the information stored in the memory 13a to a tag reader or the like. The memory 13a of the wireless tag 13 is stored with an identification number, a production number, an overflow drain voltage, a reset voltage, photodetector sensitivity, the number of defective pixels, and defective pixel addresses of the CCD chip 12. The tag reader or the like is used to acquire the information on the CCD chip 12 stored in the memory 13a of the wireless tag 13 through radio communications. Thus, even after a solid-state imaging apparatus 10 is packaged in the equipment such as a camera or a portable telephone set, the information on the CCD chip 12 can be acquired.
