PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to reduce a storage capacity of a non-volatile storage means of an outdoor unit, and facilitate updating work of an operation control program. SOLUTION: This control device 4 of the air conditioner includes: an indoor side non-volatile storage means rewritably storing the operation control program related to indoor units 2A to 2F; an indoor unit type discriminating means for discriminating the machine types of the indoor units 2A to 2F connected to communicate with each other; and a non-volatile storage means for an indoor machine type rewritably storing the discriminated type information with update version information of the operational control program related to the indoor units 2A to 2F. Further, the device includes: an indoor side program rewriting means for updating part or whole of the operational control program related to the discriminated indoor units 2A to 2F, and rewriting the operational control program of the indoor units 2A to 2f set in the indoor units 1A, 1B with the updated operational control program.
