OPTICAL RECEPTACLE, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND OPTICAL MODULE USING RECEPTACLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve that it is difficult to cope with size reduction being demanded by the market of an optical receptacle in which a precision sleeve is used, a fiber stub 3 is made short and the stub 3 is firmly fixed to the precision sleeve so that no fluctuation in connection loss is caused by the positional fluctuation of the stub 3. SOLUTION: The optical receptacle is provided with a fiber stub which is made by holding an optical fiber in a through-hole of a ferrule and a precision sleeve to which a tip end part of the stub is forcedly inserted and fixed. The back end faces of the stub and the sleeve are provided with a tilted surface and a flat surface and these surfaces are mutually made into a same surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
