PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of mass-producing composite particles without increasing cost. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing composite particles 10 each of which comprises a core body 1 comprising a first composition and a coating layer 2 comprising a second composition different from the first composition and coating the core body 1, a granular powder comprising a first raw material powder becoming the first composition and a second raw material powder becoming the second composition is supplied into a combustion flame along with an oxidizable gas and/or an inert gas and subsequently the granular powder is melted in the combustion flame to obtain a molten treated material. This molten treated material is separated into the core body 1 comprising the first composition and the coating layer 2 comprising the second composition and coating the core body 1 to obtain the composite particles 10 each of which comprises the core body 1 and the coating layer 2.
