PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a coating film by which a multilayer coating film including an electrodeposition coating film is obtained by only once baking. SOLUTION: The method of forming the multilayer coating film for automobile includes a process for electrodepositing the electrodeposition coating material curable by irradiating with active energy beam and heating, a process for irradiating the uncured electrodeposition film obtained by the electrodeposition with the active energy beam, a process for forming at least one layer of a novel uncured coating film on the electrodeposition coating film irradiated with the active energy beam using a coating material and a process for baking the electrodeposition film and the novel uncured coating film simultaneously.
