The invention relates to a sealing element (20) for a cooling module system of a motor vehicle. Said cooling module system comprises an axial fan (16), linked with a motor and enclosed by a fan housing (17), and a cooler (12) which is provided with a fan cowl (14) on the side facing the axial fan. The sealing element (20) is provided between the fan housing (18) and the fan cowl (14) and seals the gap between the fan housing and the fan cowl. According to the invention, the sealing module (20), when mounted (operating position), is fastened to a structural component of the fan housing and the fan cowl (18, 14) and sealingly rests on the periphery of the other structural component of the fan housing and the fan cowl. The sealing element (20) can be brought into a mounting position in which it is swung back or folded back onto the one structural component of the fan housing and the fan cowl (18, 14) to which it is fastened and can be fixated in this position. The sealing element, in this mounting position, is pretensioned into the operating position in such a manner that it swings or springs open into its operating position on the periphery of the other structural component of the fan housing or the fan cowl when the fixation of the mounting position is released. The inventive sealing element and cooling module system are used in motor vehicles, especially in utility vehicles. |
