ULTRAVIOLET SENSOR FOR MONITORING ENERGY IN GERMICIDAL WAVELENGTH FOR STERILIZING MICROBE

PURPOSE: An ultraviolet sensor is provided to monitor the energy in the wavelength for sterilizing microbe and the effect of the ultraviolet lamp for a sterilizing system and an air or water purifying system. CONSTITUTION: The ultraviolet sensor comprises a SiC(silicon carbide) photodiode(12) sensitive to the ultraviolet light; a dielectric filter(14) for excluding the light toward the SiC(silicon carbide) photodiode(12) and out of the range of germicidal wavelength. The dielectric filter(14) allows the passage of the ultraviolet light in the wavelength of 200 or 300nm.
