<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a NOx catalyst for a car, which has high heat durability and a honeycomb structure. <P>SOLUTION: This NOx catalyst 10 for the car uses ammonia as a reducer. This catalyst 10 contains V<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>and WO<SB>3</SB>as the principal catalytic components and TiO<SB>2</SB>, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3,</SB>and SiO<SB>2</SB>as the carrier components and is manufactured by adding MgO of 5-15 wt.% to the mixture of these metal oxides and firing the MgO-added mixture to have a honeycombed shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
