METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced composite material enhanced in the volume ratio of reinforcing fibers and capable of being enhanced in impact resistance, in particular compression strength after impaction. SOLUTION: This fiber reinforced composite material is molded by arranging reinforcing fiber base materials and layers of a binder comprising a thermoplastic resin in a mold held to a temperature Tm of 60-90°C in an alternately superposed state and injecting a liquid thermosetting resin in the mold to cure the same. This molding method is performed so that the binder and the liquid thermosetting resin satisfy a condition (A) wherein 70 pts.wt. of the binder and 30 pts.wt. of the liquid thermosetting resin are mixed to be held to the temperature Tm so that the binder is not perfectly dissolved until the liquid thermosetting resin is gelled.
