PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sink-and-float type laver-culture screen supporting device with which qualified laver can be cultured while exposing and drying a laver culture screen even in a deep sea area where a strut system is difficult to be applied, laver culture can be performed even in a closed sea area whose eutrophication is worsened, and purification of the sea area can be enhanced via making the culture laver absorb the eutrophic salt in the sea water. SOLUTION: This sink-and-float type laver-culture screen supporting device has the following structure; sink-and-float buoys 3 sinking or floating according to discharge or flow-in of the sea water are arranged in parallel apart a predetermined distance therebetween; the laver culture screen 2 is arranged at the upper part of the sink-and-float buoys 3, the sink-and-float buoys 3 arranged in parallel support the upper laver culture screen 2; and the laver culture screen 2 is supported via sink and float movement of the sink/float buoy 3 so as to freely go up and down between the upper part of the sea surface and the underwater.
