PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable in which the degree of movement of strands of the optical fibers is reduced while improving the pulling out of the characteristics of the optical fiber cable. SOLUTION: Twelve optical fiber strands 3-1 to 3-12 are prepared. Then, the optical fiber strands 3-1 to 3-12 are arranged in parallel to each other to form a face thereof. The face is sandwiched from the top and the bottom directions in a longitudinal direction by members 13 which have adhesive layers 33. Both tip parts of the members 13 are press-contacted to hermetically seal the optical fiber strands and the optical fiber strands are stored and arranged in a storage section 5 provided in a cable sheath 9. On the sheath 9, notched sections 11 having approximately V shapes are provided on the surface which is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis direction of the storage section 5 to indicate dividing locations and high-tensile bodies 7 are provided in the vicinity of the cross section tip parts of the storage section 5 of the sheath 9 to absorb tension along the extended direction of the cable. Thus, the optical fiber strands are easily taken out by tearing up the notched sections 11. Moreover, the degree of movement of the optical fiber strands that are hermetically sealed is reduced.
