PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding burr removing device for a band steel capable of efficiently removing burrs formed on a welded part which is formed by welding an end of a remaining band steel to a starting end of a new band steel when a coiled band steel is uncoiled for use. SOLUTION: The welding burr removing device for the band steel supports a pair of right and left supporting pawls and a pair of right and left pressing pawls which are constituted in an approaching/separating manner across a grinding wheel to hold and support a band steel W as a work on a fitting plate. The working space of the grinding wheel to remove burred portions of the band steel is formed between the supporting pawls and the pressing pawls, and the pressing are made to approach/separated to/from the supporting pawls.
