PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system and a communication terminal capable of providing a high degree of services taking into account users. SOLUTION: A network terminal authentication apparatus 40 in a mobile communication network 10 authenticates the communication terminal 20 or the like. A network user authentication apparatus 90 authenticates a user 1 utilizing the communication terminal 20 or the like. A terminal utilizing user management apparatus 70 manages the communication terminal 20 or the like and the user 1 utilizing the communication terminal 20 or the like in cross-reference with each other. Thus, the mobile communication network 10 can recognize which user utilizes which communication terminal thereby to be capable of providing the high degree of services taking into account users.
