PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic oscillator capable of suppressing unnecessary vibration, and measuring highly accurately when used for fluid flow measurement. SOLUTION: In this oscillator, an acoustic adjustment layer 4 is bonded on the outer surface of the top wall of a metal cap 2 and a piezoelectric body 5 is bonded on the inner surface thereof respectively, and an elastic body 12 for suppressing vibration is mounted on a portion equivalent to the antinode of vibration on the outer peripheral surface of the cap 2. The elastic body 12 functions as a vibration load on the cap outer peripheral surface, and resultantly oscillation generation is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
