PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an acrylic emulsion having a high level of chemical stability. SOLUTION: This emulsion is formed by emulsion-polymerizing a radical polymerizable acrylic monomer(s) essentially containing an acrylamide type monomer(s) in an aqueous medium in the presence of a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant in a nonionic/anionic surfactants weight ratio of 2/8 to 8/2 and has particle sizes of dispersed particles of 100-500 nm.
