PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering unit capable of consistently supplying the motor driving power from an exclusive power source to a steering shaft drive motor, and having the sufficient backup function even when abnormality such as voltage drop occurs in the exclusive power source. SOLUTION: A power source unit 40 having a plurality of power sources is provided on a vehicle (a vehicular steering unit 1). The power source unit 40 comprises a power source 41 for the steering unit to constantly supply the motor driving power to a steering shaft drive motor 6, and a vehicular power source 42 to constantly supply the power to vehicular electrical units except the steering shaft drive motor 6 (for example, lamps and meters). In a steering control unit 20, the power source 41 for the steering unit and the vehicular power source 42 for the backup power source are arranged in parallel so as to selectively supply the motor to a motor drive circuit P to rotation-drive the steering shaft drive motor 6.
